The FIG Subcommittee is established by the Committee as an advisory subcommittee (subject to any express delegation under this Charter) pursuant to Rule 43 of the Associations Rules.
The purpose of the Subcommittee is to support the Association to:
(a) serve the needs of females with mental illnesses and to promote organisations, issues, events and activities that are relevant to females with mental illnesses;
(b) advocate for and provide a voice and platform for females with mental illnesses and / or lived experience of time in psychiatric wards;
(c) afford opportunities for the full participation of females with a lived experience of mental illnesses in the Association’s activities; and
(d) support the Association’s Impatient Campaign project to ensure female’s safety in psychiatric wards Australia-wide and internationally.
